Today, eating in Venezuela costs 6 times more than it did this time one year ago.
Venezuelans need to be earning at least 20 minimum salaries in order to afford the basic food basket. This means that 85% of the population cannot afford to buy all the food they need because they do not make enough money.
The cost of food has skyrocketed because of the scarcity of basic products and the rampant inflation in Venezuela. The destructive economic policies of the government of Nicolas Maduro have led the country to this situation.
President Maduro is well-aware of his mistakes but continues to ignore the suffering of millions of desperate Venezuelans that want to feed themselves and their families.
It is time for Maduro and his dysfunctional government to be replaced by a leader who will bring prosperity and abundance to Venezuela!
